Job summary

CACI International Inc. at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston seeks an experienced Software Systems Engineer to support Moon Base flight software development. The role covers the full software life cycle to establish a 5G lunar surface network for astronaut communications.

You will review requirements, coordinate interfaces, manage risks, assist ICDs/IRDs, and ensure compliance with SSET standards while engaging with NASA teams and prime contractors.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace, mechanical, electrical, computer or software engineering, computer science, or related disciplines required.
• At least five years of related software systems engineering experience in real-time safety-critical software.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Support development and analysis of flight software requirements for a 5G lunar surface network.
• Coordinate development of flight software documentation and review documents.
• Identify risks and develop risk mitigation plans for flight software.
• Support ICDs and IRDs to define interfaces between subsystems.
• Facilitate reviews, track defects, and coordinate resolution with NASA teams.
