Job summary

CACI is seeking an experienced Flight Software Systems Engineer to support NASA Moon Base flight software development at Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. This onsite role combines flight software systems engineering with a cybersecurity perspective across the software life cycle.

The position advances requirements, interfaces, milestone execution, and verification support while aligning development activities with NASA and cybersecurity frameworks.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen or permanent resident required.
• B.S. in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, computer, software engineering or CS.
• At least 5 years of real-time safety-critical software experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support development and analysis of flight software requirements.
• Coordinate documentation and review of artifacts (requirements, architecture, design).
• Identify risks and cybersecurity controls; develop mitigation plans.
• Develop ICDs and IRDs for interfaces between flight software subsystems.
• Assist milestone reviews and closure of Review Item Dispositions.
• Maintain RTM to ensure requirements are met.
