Job summary

The Houston Food Bank seeks a Sustaining Gifts Officer to advance our mission by growing a robust monthly giving program and managing a portfolio of sustaining donors. You will develop personalized engagement plans, coordinate multi-channel campaigns, and drive donor retention and upgrades.

Collaborating with Marketing, Donor Services, and Major Gifts teams, you will analyze program performance, optimize donor experiences, and ensure accurate donor records to maximize lifetime value and impact

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3–5 years in fundraising, donor relations, or related areas.
Experience in recurring or sustaining giving programs, major gifts, or mid-level donor engagement preferred.
Proficiency with CRMs and reporting/analysis functions like Raiser's Edge NXT, Luminate Online, or Salesforce.
Knowledge of fundraising techniques and recurring donor programs is highly desirable.
Experience with multi-channel donor engagement (digital, video, direct mail, phone).

Responsibilities

Develops, grows, and manages the monthly giving program, including donor acquisition, retention, reactivation, and upgrade strategies.
Manages a portfolio of high-value sustaining donors with personalized engagement strategies to deepen commitment.
Designs and executes multi-channel stewardship and cultivation campaigns to foster donor loyalty and increase lifetime value.
Participates in all aspects of the donor cycle for sustaining donors.
Creates personalized stewardship strategies for donors at all giving levels within the sustaining portfolio.
Ensures accurate and timely recording of donor interactions in the CRM and moves donors toward upgrades.
