Job summary

Food Lifeline is seeking a Donor Engagement Officer who loves building relationships with donors and guiding them through meaningful engagement with our mission. You will manage 150–200 donors and prospects, focusing on gifts in the $1,000–$9,999 range, while deepening connections and expanding mid-level giving opportunities.

You will craft personalized communications, tell Food Lifeline's story, and collaborate with Marketing, Programs, and fundraising teams to maximize donor impact and inspire

Qualifications

• Experience in fundraising, donor engagement, relationship management, nonprofit development, membership, community engagement, or related field.
• Experience developing relationships and moving people toward action, commitment, investment, or increased engagement.
• Fundraising experience with ability to secure four- or five-figure gifts is preferred but not required for relevant transferable experience.
• Experience managing multiple relationships, priorities, and projects simultaneously.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful donor relationships with a portfolio of 150–200 individuals and prospects in the $1,000–$9,999 range.
• Create personalized communications and connect donor interests to Food Lifeline's mission.
• Develop strategies to cultivate, solicit, steward, renew, and upgrade donors.
• Identify donors ready for major gift engagement and coordinate with colleagues.
• Contribute to donor events, campaigns, and engagement opportunities.
