Job summary

Jewish Federation of Greater Houston seeks a Philanthropy Officer to cultivate, grow, and steward a portfolio of donors, focusing on engaging individuals to increase philanthropic support and secure legacy commitments. The role partners with the team to develop strategies and networks that advance the federation’s mission.

You will work with volunteers, donors, and professional advisors, utilizing donor databases and CRM tools to optimize engagement and results.

Qualifications

• CFRE preferred.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of direct fundraising experience.
• Demonstrated success building meaningful donor relationships and securing philanthropic commitments.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of annual donors with a focus on stewardship and elevating giving.
• Identify, qualify, and cultivate prospective donors to grow philanthropic support.
• Secure legacy commitments from long-standing Annual Campaign donors.
• Develop, manage, and evaluate affinity groups as donor engagement tools.
• Collaborate with the philanthropy team to achieve Annual Campaign goals.
• Partner with philanthropy colleagues and other departments to maximize fundraising efforts.
