Apple Montessori Schools in Westfield, NJ seeks an Associate Director of School to lead daily operations, drive enrollment, and uphold Montessori standards. This role partners with the School Director, coaches staff, and ensures high-quality family interactions.

Responsibilities include supervising teachers, managing safety and compliance, and collaborating with regional leadership on school improvement plans. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field is required.
• Minimum 3 years of managerial experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a school setting.
• Capacity to manage staffing, enrollment, and inventory.
• Ability to respond effectively in different situations.
• Provide excellent customer service to families.
• Strong leadership and staff communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the School Director in leading daily operations and culture.
• Serve as backup for the Director and lead in their absence.
• Supervise, coach, and hold team members accountable for performance and classroom standards.
• Support employee relations, performance conversations, and corrective action with HR.
• Help lead scheduling, onboarding, retention, and professional development.
• Share ownership of enrollment, family retention, tour conversion, and school revenue goals.
• Manage escalated family concerns and ensure timely resolution.
• Oversee licensing compliance, safety, and audit readiness.
• Analyze school metrics and support action plans for staffing and performance.
• Collaborate with regional and corporate leadership on initiatives.
