Job summary

Apple Montessori Schools is seeking an Education Director for Early Childhood Education in Hoboken, NJ. You will partner with families, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality Montessori practices across the school to foster an inspiring learning environment.

You'll oversee program quality, compliance, and classroom environments, while coaching educators, coordinating events, and maintaining open communication with families to support student progress and staff growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Montessori Education, or related field.
• Montessori certification at the Early Childhood level preferred (AMS, AMI, NAMC or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years in early childhood education.
• 1 year of experience as a supervisor or coordinator.
• Knowledge of the Montessori philosophy and methods.
• Strong mentorship and communication skills.
• Experience with educational technology and administrative tools (e.g., ProCare, Salesforce, Vector).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility with scheduling and location; travel to multiple sites as well as opening/closing shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead Educational Directors to support students and educators.
• Mentor staff and coach educators; ensure Montessori practices across schools.
• Partner with families and maintain strong communication through events and conferences.
• Oversee program quality, compliance, and classroom environments, including safety and curriculum alignment.
• Ensure meaningful student progress and support staff growth and retention.
• Foster a positive, collaborative school culture across multiple sites.
