Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with knowledge of behavior intervention strategies.
• Ability to maintain calm, non-threatening interaction with diverse students.
• Certifications in crisis intervention techniques (PMT), CPR/First Aid are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows prescribed behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) for students.
• Utilizes the behavioral management system and responds to varying behavior levels.
• Supervises students in alternative learning settings when needed.
• Assists students with completing class and make-up work.
• Monitors students during meals, transitions, and in hallways.
• Performs routine safety checks and monitors student activity.
• Registers and analyzes daily behavioral data for each student.
• Keeps track of restraints and seclusions.
• Enters behavior tracking forms during early releases and PD days.
• Attends PPT meetings and collaborates with SPED team.
