Specialized Education Services, Inc. seeks a Behavior Support Specialist to assist students with intensive behavioral needs in K-12 settings. You will collaborate with school staff to implement individualized plans and monitor progress.

Key duties include de-escalation, crisis response, parent communication, and maintaining safe, supportive environments. A high school diploma is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred, and prior PBIS experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varied backgrounds.
• Provide monitoring and support throughout the school site.
• Support the creation and implementation of behavior support plans.
• Record and document behavioral incidents and progress toward goals.
• Utilize PBIS strategies and school incentive programs.
• Implement de-escalation strategies, crisis management, and safe physical interventions when needed.
• Foster a positive inclusive environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Communicate with parents.
• Participate in debriefings after challenging situations.
