Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in molecular microbiology and/or genetics.
• ASCP certification in Molecular Biology (MB) preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in medical technology, chemical or biological science required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise molecular technicians and laboratory assistants in accessioning, performance, and processing of specimens.
• Plan, assign, and direct workflow in the laboratory; provide back-up to other positions.
• Acquire and maintain all necessary state and federal licenses including CAP accreditation.
• Define, coordinate, and monitor quality assurance program; ensure QC and compliance procedures.
• Mentor and support direct reports in their responsibilities and functions.
