Job description

We are seeking an experienced Molecular Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our molecular diagnostics laboratory. This role involves managing workflow, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining high-quality testing standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, advanced technical expertise, and a commitment to laboratory excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise laboratory personnel and coordinate day-to-day molecular testing activities
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory/accreditation standards
• Oversee molecular testing workflows, validation studies, and quality control procedures
• Review and approve test results, quality metrics, and laboratory reports
• Train, mentor, and evaluate staff for competency and performance
• Optimize workflow, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Troubleshoot technical or operational issues affecting accuracy or turnaround time
• Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Participate in inspections, audits, and corrective action processes
• Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and documentation of laboratory instruments
• Support quality assurance, safety compliance, and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• ASCP certification (MB or MLS preferred)
