Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking an experienced laboratory manager to lead a molecular diagnostics team. You will oversee NGS, qPCR, and nucleic acid workflows, maintain equipment, ensure QA/QC, and author SOPs while coordinating with the laboratory director.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, familiarity with CAP/CLIA processes, and the ability to train staff across sites.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree requirements with clinical lab experience.
• Experience leading molecular diagnostics teams and SOPs.
• CAP/CLIA familiarity and regulatory awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead laboratory staff in molecular testing including NGS and qPCR.
• Maintain equipment, perform QA/QC tasks, and train staff.
• Write and update SOPs; support CAP inspections and documentation.
• Assist with pipeline automation and data metrics for executives.
• Oversee cross-site operations and staff development.
