Job summary

Summit Polymers in Michigan is seeking a Utility, Molding associate to support molding operations, set up hoppers, assist presses, and keep lines flowing efficiently.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, wear steel-toe footwear, and pass color vision and Wonderlic tests. Reports to Supervisor, Manufacturing (Molding) with routine supervision and some independent scheduling within guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must pass color hue and color blindness test.
• Must meet Wonderlic Select assessment requirement.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operates, fills, empties, and identifies pre-dried hoppers, grinders, and similar equipment.
• Insure hoppers are refilled with proper material to avoid emptying.
• Assist in operating presses including relief, set-up, color/material changes, and mold changes.
• Maintain general housekeeping and ensure products are placed in designated WIP stores.
• Maintain productivity and defect information and adhere to labeling procedures.
