Job summary

3M in Indianapolis is seeking an Operator Formulator V for immediate hire on the 3rd shift. This full-time position involves operating machinery, calibrating equipment, and ensuring production quality through various adjustments.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, at least two months of experience in production, and the ability to work rotating shifts. Additional benefits include starting pay of $22.77, health insurance from day one, and three weeks of paid vacation.

Operator Formulator V – Indianapolis, IN

• Full‑time: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd shift; immediate hire for 3rd shift
• Starting rate: $22.77 + shift differentials

Responsibilities

Operate production machinery, calibrate equipment, and execute process adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency. Scan and diagnose process and product defects, troubleshoot and perform adjustments such as temperature, line speed, air flow rate, positioning, centering, and gap control. Utilize PLC & MMI computer‑controlled interfaces, test and measuring equipment, pneumatic presses, and punch‑out equipment.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed prior to start)
• Minimum two (2) months of operating production machinery
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed, including short‑notice shift coverage

Additional Qualifications

• Minimum six (6) months of experience in a manufacturing environment

Applicants who meet the basic qualifications will be required to take and pass 3M’s elected testing as part of the selection process.
