Job summary

Summit Polymers in Mount Sterling, KY, is seeking an Operator, Assembly to join a production team. Under supervision, you will operate molding machines and assemble molded parts, perform packing, counting, and quality checks, and assist with setup and color/mold changes as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, good manual dexterity, and the ability to stand all shift and lift up to 30 pounds.

• Willingness to perform routine quality checks

Responsibilities

• Reads, understands, and follows Operator Instruction Sheet for part numbers and packing requirements.
• Retrieves, inspects, counts, weighs, packs, and labels parts per instructions.
• Uses simple hand tools to trim, cut, and prepare parts per safety procedures.
• Operates molding machines and/or air tools to assemble, decorate, or produce product.
• Monitors quality against samples and reports variances to supervision.
• Performs basic clerical tasks summarizing production as required.
• Performs routine cleaning to maintain station and area per 5S.
• Interfaces with the production monitoring system.
