Summit-Polymers- in Michigan is seeking an Operator, Applique to operate molding machines, perform inspections, and support production teams. The role requires attention to quality and adherence to standard work procedures.

You will follow established guidelines, perform routine quality checks, and assist with breaks, cleanliness, and documentation as part of a collaborative manufacturing environment. A high school diploma or GED is required and lifting up to 30 pounds is expected.

Responsibilities

• Reads, understands, and follows Operator Instruction Sheet to determine part number(s), inspection procedures, packing requirements, and any special instruction.
• Retrieves, separates, inspects, counts, weighs, packs, and labels parts in accord with written and/or oral instructions.
• Performs tasks in accord with standard levels of performance required to meet production rate established for specific part(s) being worked.
• Performs tasks in accord with standard levels of performance required to meet production scrap rates established for specific part(s) being worked.
• Operates molding machines and/or air activated tools and equipment to produce product and reports malfunctions or variances.
• Compares, inspects, and monitors production quality to approved samples and accepts/rejects per standards.
• Performs simple clerical tasks involving recording and summarizing production.
• Examines, repairs, trims, counts, weighs and performs secondary operations as directed.
• Uses simple hand tools to trim and prepare parts per safety procedures.
• Performs routine cleaning chores to maintain cleanliness per 5S requirements.
• Interfaces with production monitoring system.
• Assists with breaks for other operators.
• Other tasks as directed by supervisor.
