Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred for this role.
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience if no HS diploma.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document processes.
• Strong organizational and verbal/written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional, functional testing, and visual quality checks according to procedures.
• Communicate non-conforming material (defects) to quality and management.
• Accurately complete required paperwork/documentation for products.
• Pack finished products into cartons and bags; affix content labels.
• Maintain open communication to resolve problems or changes promptly.
• Perform line clearances of equipment at end and before production runs.
• Ensure all labels are correct per work order information.
• Record problems during production (defects, sampling results, stoppages).
• Assist cross-training and provide on-the-job training for others.
• Transport all materials by hand, fork lift, or other means as needed.
• Cycle count inventory and investigate discrepancies.
• Contain rejected raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished goods.
• Organize and store materials at workstations; proper storage.
• Perform preventative maintenance duties related to job functions.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement, 5S, blitzes, and shift start-up.
• Maintain a clean and organized workplace; dispose of scrap properly.
• Other duties as required to support business needs.
