Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a medical assistant or surgical technician; dermatology experience preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Expertise in the use of surgical instruments and maintaining sterile environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operative assessments and review health survey data to develop care plans.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative education to patients and families.
• Prepare the surgical area by organizing instruments, equipment, and anesthesia.
• Assist the surgeon during procedures, scrub in, hand instruments, cut sutures, maintain sterile field.
• Document all patient care in the EMR and maintain records.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with protocols in the surgical environment.
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and autoclave.
• Assist patients with mobility after surgery and provide post-op instructions.
