Job summary

Seacoast Skin Surgery in Wilmington, NC is seeking an experienced Mohs Histotechnician to support the Mohs surgeon by preparing precise tissue sections for intraoperative evaluation.

You will operate and maintain cryostat and lab equipment, produce slides, and ensure accurate documentation and quality control in a fast-paced surgical setting. This role requires attention to detail and collaborative patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education meeting CLIA guidelines for high-complexity testing
• At least three years of Mohs histotechnology experience
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative surgical environment

Responsibilities

• Map, color-code, cut, stain, and prepare Mohs tissue specimens
• Produce microscopic slides for surgeon evaluation
• Operate and maintain cryostat and laboratory equipment
• Complete quality-control checks and CLIA-required documentation
• Maintain accurate logs, records, slides, and supply inventory
• Coordinate pathology materials for internal and external consultations
