Job summary

Seacoast Skin Surgery in Wilmington, NC is seeking an experienced Mohs Histotechnician to join our team. You will work closely with our Mohs surgeon to prepare precise tissue sections that support timely patient care.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Histotechnology, at least three years of Mohs histotechnology experience, and strong attention to detail. You will operate the cryostat, maintain equipment, and ensure accurate documentation in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Histotechnology or related discipline; CLIA high-complexity testing knowledge.
• Minimum 3 years Mohs histotechnology experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative surgical setting.

Responsibilities

• Map, color-code, cut, stain, and prepare Mohs tissue specimens.
• Produce microscopic slides for surgeon evaluation.
• Operate and maintain cryostat and laboratory equipment.
• Complete quality-control checks and CLIA-required documentation.
• Maintain accurate logs, records, slides, and supply inventory.
• Coordinate pathology materials for internal and external consultations.
