Qualifications

• Proof of training in a certified Mohs program with strong references.
• Training from a Histotechnician or Histotechnologist program focused on Mohs techniques.
• Significant technical expertise and responsibility in handling delicate specimens.

Responsibilities

• Prepares equipment for use in frozen sections and Mohs cases.
• Maintains equipment with routine and scheduled maintenance and documents completion.
• Follows Mohs surgeon instructions for specimen orientation and labeling.
• Maintains accurate records of all specimens received and processed.
• Cuts frozen sections, prepares slides, and reviews staining for adequacy.
• Distributes slides to Mohs surgeon promptly and keeps area clean and stocked.
• Orders and maintains supplies to support caseloads and safety policies.
• Participates in Quality Improvement by documenting corrective actions and process improvements.
