Job summary

Seacoast Skin Surgery in Wilmington, NC, is seeking an experienced Mohs Histotechnician to join our surgical team. You will prepare precise tissue sections and produce slides for Mohs surgeon review in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology with at least three years of Mohs histotech experience and strong attention to detail. ASCP HTL certification is preferred; CLIA guidelines knowledge is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent meeting CLIA guidelines for high-complexity testing.
• At least three years of Mohs histotechnology experience.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative surgical environment.
• ASCP HTL certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Map, color-code, cut, stain, and prepare Mohs tissue specimens.
• Produce microscopic slides for surgeon evaluation.
• Operate and maintain cryostat and laboratory equipment.
• Complete quality-control checks and CLIA documentation.
• Maintain accurate logs, records, slides, and supply inventory.
• Coordinate pathology materials for internal and external consultations.
