Job summary

McGrath RentCorp is seeking a Construction Team Lead to guide a crew in servicing and repairing modular buildings. You will coordinate and prioritize the production schedule for the crew, assign tasks to modular mechanics and maintenance staff, and verify quality according to our standards.

You will perform preventative maintenance across trades, monitor productivity, safety, and 6S housekeeping; provide training and coaching, and backfill for other leaders as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in construction or related trades.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, procedures and work orders.
• Commitment to safety and OSHA practices.
• Ability to lead a team of 6+ employees and coordinate multiple trades.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prioritize the production schedule for the crew.
• Assign tasks to modular mechanics and maintenance staff; provide training as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance across trades (plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting).
• Monitor productivity, quality, and safety; ensure 6S housekeeping standards.
• Lead safety meetings and conduct safety audits; document results.
• Backfill for other leaders when necessary; support team development.
