Job summary

McGrath RentCorp seeks a Construction Supervisor (Modular Buildings) to lead production teams, oversee construction operations, and manage inventory, vendor relations, and project execution. You will review plans, monitor costs, and drive safe, on-time project delivery across multiple groups.

You will collaborate with Operations, Sales, Service, Transportation, and other support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience, strong vendor partnerships, and continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in construction, remodeling, renovation, repairs, or building modifications.
• 3+ years of supervisory/management experience in a construction/production environment.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, work orders, and construction documents.
• Experience implementing LEAN methodologies or efficiency initiatives.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members; strong mentorship skills.
• Track record of improving safety and safety procedures.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, Outlook and Teams.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality modular construction projects on time and on budget.
• Provide hands-on leadership by working with production teams to set priorities, assign work, monitor progress, and ensure quality; ensure compliance with standards and codes.
• Oversee inventory, vendor relationships, logistics, and project coordination to support production.
• Coordinate with Operations, Sales, Service, Transportation, and other teams to meet customer needs and timelines.
• Lead LEAN initiatives, cost controls, and process improvements across projects.
• Develop, mentor, and coach team members to improve productivity, safety, and performance.
• Manage multiple construction groups, optimize workflows, and drive a culture of accountability and collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies; participate in safety meetings and audits.
