Job summary

Boston Public Schools' Holland Elementary is seeking a Special Education/Resource Room teacher with an SEI Endorsement for a long-term substitute position. The assignment is expected to start in mid-January 2027 and continue through June 22, 2027, with per diem sub pay for the duration.

The successful candidate will join a team committed to high expectations, inclusive practices, and equity, reporting to the Principal/Head of School.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Massachusetts Teaching License in Moderate Disabilities required.
• ESL License or SEI Endorsement required.
• Authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Implement district learning goals aligned with state frameworks and identify access points for student portfolio development.
• Provide small-group instruction for students with moderate to severe cognitive delays within the general curriculum.
• Write and implement IEP goals and report progress regularly.
• Provide accommodations for learning and testing; develop curriculum and collect/analyze student work for MCAS Alternative Assessment.
• Collaborate with school staff to support student needs and modify instruction as needed.
• Assist students transitioning to adult living services where appropriate.
