Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Systems Engineer to join our team in Baltimore, MD. The role focuses on performance engineering, software integration, mission studies, and system-of-systems trades for radar systems, leveraging M&S frameworks to validate CONOPS and DRM against real-world data.

The position requires 100% on-site work with active Secret clearance and DoD program experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in a STEM field with progression to master’s/PhD desired.
• Experience with modeling, simulation, experimentation, and analysis.
• Security clearance: final Secret/ SAP access desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform performance-focused modeling and simulation for radar systems on HPC grids.
• Conduct trade studies and system-of-systems analyses to optimize mission performance.
• Validate radar algorithms by tracing IQ data through processing chains and identifying deficiencies.
• Develop and improve performance models, tools, and visualization for engineering teams.
• Prepare and present technical materials for briefings and reviews.
