Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Oklahoma City VA Medical Center, seeks a Supervisory Mobility Transportation Specialist to oversee Veterans Transportation Service and Beneficiary Travel programs.

You will supervise SMT and mileage reimbursements, ensure compliance with regulations, and report to the Associate Directors Office. The role requires leadership in transportation operations, contract administration, and coordination with VA and partner organizations to optimize access to care for

Qualifications

Time-In-Grade requirements applying to current Federal employees and for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act (VEOA) appointment.
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: majors include accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics or related fields.

Responsibilities

Manages the Medical Center's Transportation Program services by planning, developing, evaluating and directing administrative activities in multiple transportation programs.
Administers transportation-related contracts and adjudicates mileage, lodging, meals, common carrier, SMT reimbursements; determines eligibility and processes payments for veterans.
Collaborates with VA offices and external partners to improve access to medical care through transportation resources; develops procedures for program operations.
