Job summary

Numotion, the leader in complex rehabilitation technology, seeks a Service Technician at our Harrisburg - Kreider Drive location. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain complex manual and powered wheelchairs and related medical equipment to keep clients safe and independent.

This full-time, at-will role requires reading manufacturer specs, performing field and in-shop service, maintaining inventory, documenting repairs, and educating customers on proper use and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or a minimum of one year of related work experience.
• Minimum of two years of relevant mechanical experience in a repair or maintenance role.
• Experience with medical equipment, mobility devices, or assistive technology is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with wheelchair repair or complex rehabilitation technology is highly desirable.
• Experience performing equipment diagnostics, obtaining repair quotes, and executing repairs in both shop and field settings.
• Experience maintaining inventory and managing parts receiving, storage, and shipping.
• Experience educating customers or end-users on equipment operation, care, and safety.
• Experience maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment.
• Experience collaborating with clinical or customer service teams to ensure optimal equipment configuration and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment in the shop or in the field using manufacturer specifications and available resources to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain rental and stock equipment, keeping it clean, organized, and ready for use; conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Keep a clean, safe work environment in the shop and warehouse; follow safety protocols and organizational standards.
• Maintain delivery vehicles; report any issues promptly to relevant personnel.
• Receive, store, and ship parts; coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure adequate inventory.
• Complete thorough documentation, including signatures and timely reports; maintain repair and parts records.
• Educate customers and caregivers on proper use, care, and safety of equipment.
• Perform minor fittings and adjustments for user comfort; collaborate with clinical staff as needed.
• Follow OSHA guidelines and company safety policies; participate in in-service training.
