Job summary

VTP is seeking a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant to perform ultrasound-guided IV placements (USGIVs) and manage PICCs, midlines, and CVADs across varied clinical settings. The role offers full-time mobility with potential per diem options, sign-on/commitment bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.

Training for PICC certification is provided for qualifying candidates with recent USGIV experience. You will travel to customer sites, work 12PM–12AM shifts, and participate in weekend/holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• RN with current, active license.
• Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs (USGIVs).
• Experience in vascular access device (VAD) management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• American Heart BLS Certification.
• Valid driver's license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and meet scheduling requirements as indicated by job classification.
• Must possess a smart phone.

Responsibilities

• Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance.
• Utilize ECG technology for PICC tip confirmation.
• Assist with management of PICCs and other vascular access devices.
• Provide vascular access support services including port access, line removal, and declotting.
• Educate facility nursing staff on PICCs, midlines, and other CVADs.
