Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring an automotive/diesel technician to service a fleet of Budget Trucks, including cargo vans and box trucks across multiple brands. The role involves on-site repairs, preventive maintenance, and occasional mobile service to customer locations.

Candidates should have 2+ years of mechanical repair experience, at least one ASE certification (with potential for two more within the first year), and a complete tool set.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years performing mechanical repairs and diagnostics on medium- or heavy-duty equipment.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with ability to obtain 2 more within first year.
• Must have tools and be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors or in shop.
• Valid Driver's License; DOT medical clearance may be required; 21+ yrs old.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex mechanical repairs on a fleet of cargo vans and box trucks.
• Include preventive maintenance, oil/fluids, tires, brakes, suspension, electrical diagnostics.
• May travel to vehicle locations for on-site diagnostics and repairs; mobile repairs.
• Operate vehicles as needed for repair or transport with a focus on safety and reliability.
