Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring an experienced technician to perform mechanical repairs on a fleet of cargo vans and box trucks. The role involves preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and occasional on-site travel to repair vehicles, with a focus on safety and reliability.

You should have at least 2 years of medium- or heavy-duty repair experience, 1 ASE certification (with potential to gain 2 more in the first year), and a complete tool set.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License Class A, B, or C CDL may be required depending on location.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience performing mechanical repairs on medium-duty or heavy-duty equipment.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with the ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Must have a complete set of tools for automotive and diesel repair.
• Must be at least 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• On-site position; not remote.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex mechanical repairs on a fleet of cargo vans and box trucks.
• Include preventive maintenance, oil/fluid services, tire repairs, brakes, suspension, electrical work, and warranty repairs.
• May travel to vehicle locations to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently.
• May drive Budget Trucks on public roads for repair or transport needs.
• Work on newer vehicles across multiple manufacturers using diesel/medium-duty expertise.
