Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II to perform certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, light repairs, and related tasks at customer sites. The role emphasizes on-site work, independent scheduling, and adherence to safety standards.

The technician will handle trailer brakes, air lines, pumps, engines, liftgates, and related components, with supervision available for advanced repairs. A DOT medical card and valid license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, DOT-regulated inspections experience preferred.
• Experience with trailer brakes, air lines, pumps, engines, and related systems.
• Must meet DOT and safety training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and repairs on trailers and equipment with minimal supervision.
• Document work and upload RO photos using TRAIT on an iOS device.
• Diagnose electrical components and troubleshoot trailer systems.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain company service vehicle daily.
• Follow safety policies and communicate with customers and management.
