J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in South Gate, CA, seeks a Mobile Technician to perform basic preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, chassis, containers, and power equipment at customer sites or rail yards using a mobile service truck.

The role may require outdoor work, night/weekend shifts, and overtime. You will follow safety procedures, document work orders, and participate in the Technician Career Advancement program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to wrap up tasks with attention to safety and accuracy.
• Willingness to work outdoors and across multiple shifts, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, chassis, containers, and power equipment.
• Follow safety requirements at customer sites or rail yards and operate service truck professionally.
• Document work orders and damage; communicate clearly with customers and team members.
• Demonstrate basic use of cutting torch and welding equipment for minor repairs.
• Patch holes in trailer/container panels and ensure water-tight seals.
• Assist with annual inspections (AA Trailer and FHWA Brake Inspections) under supervision.
