Job summary

Lab49 is seeking a Mobile Team Tech Lead to direct mobile projects for major banking clients in a hands-on leadership role. You will own technical direction, design scalable mobile systems, and mentor engineers while collaborating with stakeholders and Lab49 leadership.

The role focuses on building large-scale consumer banking experiences, including onboarding, account management, and money movement, with on-site work in NYC’s World Trade Center area.

Qualifications

• 10-12+ years of experience designing and building complex software systems.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and native Android development tools.
• Experience in consumer banking, onboarding, and account management.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, deliver, and test Android/iOS applications for client projects.
• Shape software architecture and engineering best practices.
• Guide architectural decisions and mentor engineers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and Lab49 leadership to ensure technical excellence.
• Maintain high-quality delivery even when not coding directly.
