Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Fleet Technician I to maintain and repair Mobile Storage fleet equipment including containers and office units. With supervision, you will perform cleaning and maintenance tasks safely and ensure compliance with company standards.

You may also support CDL A drivers and complete work orders. The role requires a High School diploma and an active state driver’s license, plus basic IT and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Active state driver's license
• Related maintenance experience a plus
• Basic verbal and written skills
• Teamwork and customer service skills
• Demonstrated time management skills
• Ability to utilize required information technology
• Working knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and manufacturers’ warranty process
• Lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Mobile Storage fleet equipment including containers and office trailers
• Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks safely per company standards
• Operate forklift and assist CDL A drivers as needed
• Complete work orders and document work performed
• Manage on-time completion within budget and meet 5S cleanliness guidelines
• Inspect inbounds/outbounds and assist with equipment deployments and modifications
