Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Technician I to maintain and repair Mobile Storage fleet equipment, including containers and office trailers.

You will perform cleaning and maintenance safely, following company standards, and may also handle all duties of an Equipment Associate. Responsibilities include basic maintenance, paperwork completion, site travel to set up units, and ensuring yard and tool organization according to 5S guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active state driver’s license.
• Related maintenance experience is a plus.
• Basic verbal and written skills.
• Construction knowledge and background.
• Teamwork and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated time management skills.
• Ability to utilize information technology.
• Working knowledge of heavy equipment, tools and warranty processes.
• Accurately record time and material used for work orders.
• Lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on Mobile Storage fleet equipment.
• Complete work orders and documentation accurately and on time.
• Inspect inbound/outbound equipment and follow Rental Flow procedures.
• Travel to customer sites to set up office trailers and assist CDL A drivers when needed.
• Safely install/uninstall VAPs and maintain shop, yard, tools and supplies cleanliness.
