United Rentals is the world’s largest equipment rental provider. The Fleet Technician I maintains and repairs Mobile Storage fleet equipment, including containers and modular units, ensuring clean and safe operations. You will assist CDL A Drivers, document work orders, and uphold 5S standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active state driver’s license.
• Related maintenance experience a plus.
• Basic verbal and written skills.
• Construction knowledge and background.
• Teamwork and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated time management skills.
• Ability to utilize required information technology.
• Working knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and manufacturers’ warranty process.
• Lift up to 45 lbs.
• This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedure.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Mobile Storage quality standards.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs, including removal and repair of flooring, roofs, walls, frames, doors, leaks, caulking, windows, screens, painting, filters/dampers, replacing skins and trim, tagging equipment, and decals.
• Hook mobile office to power source.
• Check tire pressure and lugs.
• Complete assignments on time and within budget.
• Complete tasks as documented on Work Orders.
• Complete necessary documentation (work order, etc.).
• Travel to customer sites to set office trailers and assist CDL A Drivers when needed.
