Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Technician I to maintain and repair Mobile Storage rental fleet equipment, including containers, ground level offices, and office trailers.

Under supervision, you’ll perform cleaning and maintenance to safety standards and support the Equipment Associate duties. This role requires a High School diploma, a valid state driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active state driver’s license.
• Related maintenance experience a plus.
• Basic verbal and written communication.
• Lifts up to 45 lbs.
• Working knowledge of heavy equipment, tools and warranty processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Mobile Storage fleet equipment in a safe manner per standards.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on containers, offices, and trailers.
• Complete work orders on time and within budget.
• Travel to customer sites to set up office trailers and assist CDL A drivers as needed.
• Inspect inbound/outbound equipment and follow Rental Flow procedures.
• Follow 5S guidelines and keep shop, yard, tools and supplies organized.
