Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Technician I to maintain and repair Mobile Storage fleet equipment including containers, office trailers, and modular buildings. You will ensure safe, compliant maintenance, complete work orders, and assist CDL A drivers as needed.

The role emphasizes basic repairs, proper documentation, and adherence to Safety Sensitive policies. A high school diploma and a state driver’s license are required, with opportunities for career development and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Active applicable state class driver’s license
• Related maintenance experience a plus
• Basic verbal and written skills
• Construction knowledge and background
• Teamwork and customer service skills
• Demonstrated time management skills
• Ability to utilize required information technology
• Working knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and manufacturers’ warranty process
• Accurately record time and material used for proper work order completion
• Lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Mobile Storage quality standards and perform basic maintenance and repairs
• Hook and power mobile office, check tires, complete work orders
• Document work orders and follow Rental Flow procedures
• Travel to customer sites to set office trailers and assist CDL A drivers as needed
• Housekeeping of Shop, Yard, Tools, and Supplies per 5S guidelines
• Inspect inbound/outbound equipment and process per procedures
• Safely install/uninstall VAPs and showcase fleet to customers
