Job summary

Snap Inc. seeks a Software Engineering Manager for the Safety Engineering Mobile Client team. You will lead a high‑performing mobile engineering group focused on safety, authentication, and regulatory compliance across iOS and Android platforms.

You will shape technical direction, manage complex projects, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Legal, Product, and Trust & Safety to land durable solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 9+ years of post‑Bachelor's software development experience; or a Master’s +7+ years; or PhD +3+ years.
• 1+ year of technical leadership or engineering management experience.
• Experience leading engineers delivering production software in mobile, platform, or security‑sensitive environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a high‑performing team of engineers for safety‑critical mobile client systems.
• Set technical direction and execution priorities across account integrity, authentication, reporting, and compliance.
• Drive delivery on complex, high‑urgency projects with multiple stakeholders and shifting requirements.
• Partner with Product, Design, Legal, Trust & Safety, and backend teams to land durable solutions.
• Raise the bar on engineering quality, operational excellence, and decision‑making.
• Create a healthy team environment with clear expectations and accountability.
• Hire and onboard strong engineers while developing senior ICs and leaders.
• Balance near‑term needs with longer‑term platform investments.
• Utilize AI tools while auditing for architectural integrity and security.
