Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform home visits, set up oxygen and ventilation equipment, and educate patients and caregivers on proper use and maintenance. You will document care, respond to discharge requests, and collaborate with physicians and case managers to ensure seamless transitions.

The role requires a PA RT license with flexibility for travel across communities, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency with mobile documentation tools.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist with active PA RT license.
• OH/VA RT license is a plus or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to stand, lift, push and pull 10–50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable using mobile tech, navigation tools, and digital documentation.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Hold current CPR certification.
• Maintain licensure in good standing for all states of practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to set up oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns.
• Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams.
• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment; inspect and test equipment.
