Job summary

Accendra Health seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to perform home visits, set up oxygen and ventilation equipment, and educate patients and caregivers. You will collaborate with physicians and case managers, document care, and support discharge planning.

The position requires an active IN RT license, 2+ years of RT/RN experience, driving within 60 miles, and the ability to lift 10–50 lbs. On-site with travel, benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist with IN license.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as RT or RN in respiratory care.
• Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects 10–50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable using mobile technology and digital documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow-ups.
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and elevate concerns appropriately.
• Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop.
• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment (oxygen, nebulization, PAP, ventilation).
• Inspect and test equipment for proper operation.
• Perform clinical assessments and tests (pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry).
• Perform other duties as required.
