Job summary

Accendra Health is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to perform home visits, set up oxygen therapy, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment, and provide education to patients and caregivers. You will document care, coordinate with physicians and case managers, and travel to first stops as part of on-site responsibility.

The role requires a Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, active IL RT license, and comfort with mobile technology for documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Active IL RT license or eligible to practice in the state.
• Ability to perform home visits and operate respiratory care equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to set up oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment and follow‑ups.
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and elevate concerns as needed.
• Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and branch teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation using iPad or laptop.
• Set up and operate various respiratory care devices including oxygen, nebulization, PAP, and ventilation.
