Job summary

Johns Hopkins Intrastaff is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II to provide independent, patient-centered respiratory care in home settings across Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia. The role focuses on ventilator follow-up, oxygen management, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and case managers to enhance patient outcomes.

The position requires an RCP license, NBRC RRT, and BLS, with a 4–5 patient daily caseload and substantial regional travel.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy is preferred.
• Current state RCP license and NBRC RRT credential are required.
• AHA BLS certification is required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ventilator follow-up visits and manage oxygen therapy in home care settings.
• Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans with the care team.
• Deliver specialized respiratory services across neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients.
• Maintain a caseload of approximately 4–5 patient visits per day with geographic travel.
• Mentor less-experienced staff and participate in onboarding and training activities.
• Support quality improvement, data collection, and compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards.
