Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine seeks a Respiratory Therapist II to provide direct patient care in home settings through Johns Hopkins Care at Home. The role includes pulmonary care and respiratory equipment management, performed in accordance with JCAHO, state, and departmental standards.

The position requires a minimum of two years of critical care experience, and an active DC RRT license with BLS; ACLS preferred. An Associate degree in Respiratory Care is required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of critical care experience is required.
• Documented proof/demonstration of all activities required of an RRT II.
• Washington DC RRT License Required
• B.L.S. Required
• A.C.L.S. preferred
• All credentials must be maintained with active status.
• Current, valid Maryland Driver’s License, preferably with no points.

Develops and maintains the business process to ensure service excellence. Coordinates closely with the Senior R.T. regarding performance, productivity, documentation, and patient care issues. Develop and maintain knowledge of regulations and agency policies.

Who Should Apply:

A minimum of two years of critical care experience is required. Documented proof/demonstration of all activities required of an RRT II.

Associates Degree in Respiratory Care from a (COARC) accredited Respiratory Therapy Program required

Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care from a (COARC) accredited Respiratory Therapy Program is preferred.

Washington DC RRT License Required

All credentials must be maintained with active status.

Work Experience:

• Professional Background
• Advanced position Two (2) years minimum clinical Respiratory experience in a hospital or home care setting
• Demonstrated and documented clinical and operational systems competency in a comparable RCS division.

Salary Range:

Minimum 37.02/hour - Maximum 61.11/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
