Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine seeks a Respiratory Therapist II to provide direct patient care in home settings through Johns Hopkins Care at Home. The role includes pulmonary care and respiratory equipment management, performed in accordance with JCAHO, state, and departmental standards.

The position requires a minimum of two years of critical care experience, and an active DC RRT license with BLS; ACLS preferred. An Associate degree in Respiratory Care is required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of critical care experience is required.
• Documented proof/demonstration of all activities required of an RRT II.
• Washington DC RRT License Required
• B.L.S. Required
• A.C.L.S. preferred
• All credentials must be maintained with active status.
• Current, valid Maryland Driver’s License, preferably with no points.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, pulmonary care, and respiratory equipment management to Johns Hopkins Care at Home Group patients.
• Care in the home setting per JCAHO, state, and departmental standards.
• Coordinates closely with the Senior R.T. regarding performance, productivity, documentation, and patient care issues.
• Develops and maintains knowledge of regulations and agency policies.
