Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner III to deliver advanced respiratory therapy to adult patients, including those in ICU settings. You will serve as a clinical and technical resource, supporting care during high-acuity emergencies and mentoring staff to uphold quality and safety across the department.

Ideal candidates have an RRT credential, a CoARC-accredited program, and Maryland licensure, with BLS and ACLS where applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• CoARC-accredited program completion.
• RRT credential from NBRC.
• Maryland license to practice respiratory care.
• BLS certification required; ACLS when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced respiratory care to adult patients, including critical care.
• Serve as clinical and technical resource for the department.
• Mentor staff and support high-acuity emergencies.
• Promote quality, safety, and operational readiness across the team.

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - NBRC
