Job summary

You will collaborate with physicians during rounds, document care in the EHR, manage a case load, and participate in quality and training activities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or certificate program in respiratory care.
• NBRC RRT credential required; Maryland licensure.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned case load and respond to emergent patient needs as part of a larger team supporting all patients under the department’s care.
• Perform respiratory care treatments for adult, pediatric, or neonatal patients per protocol or LIP order.
• Collaborate with LIP during rounds to determine initiation or modification of treatment regimens.
• Administer inhaled medications and ventilatory support; adjust equipment and alarms as needed.
• Document care in electronic health record systems and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
