Sonsray is seeking a Mobile Reefer Technician to support our Fleet Division in Vernon, CA. This full-time role involves diagnosing and repairing truck and trailer refrigeration units at customer sites, with a focus on Thermo King systems.

The ideal candidate enjoys fieldwork, advanced diagnostics, and independent problem-solving. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and component replacements, plus travel to client locations.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• At least 2 years of experience servicing transport refrigeration units.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile service environment.
• Comfortable using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Soldering/welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair truck and trailer refrigeration units (Thermo King and related equipment).
• Perform advanced diagnostics using scanners and onboard computer systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and component replacements on transport refrigeration units and APUs.
• Review and complete shop orders accurately; maintain service documentation.
• Travel to customer sites for mobile service calls; operate company vehicle safely.
• Follow all safety policies, DOT requirements, and regulations.

Job Title: Mobile Reefer Technician
Location: Vernon, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $35 to $44

Position Summary:
Mobile Reefer Technician will support our Fleet Division. This role is ideal for a self-motivated technician who enjoys working in the field, diagnosing complex issues, and servicing transport refrigeration equipment at customer locations.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair truck and trailer refrigeration units, including Thermo King and related equipment.
• Perform advanced diagnostics using scanners, electronic test equipment, and onboard computer systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and component replacements on transport refrigeration units and APUs.
• Review and complete shop orders accurately while maintaining service documentation.
• Identify and repair system failures, including leak detection, component removal/replacement, and Freon system testing.
• Assemble, install, and replace refrigeration components using soldering, welding, and refrigeration tools.
• Install new refrigeration units on trucks, trailers, and vans.
• Travel regularly to customer sites to perform mobile service calls, operating company vehicles safely and within road and weather conditions.
• Follow all company safety policies, DOT requirements, and auto safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support service operations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum age 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• MInimum 2 years previous experience servicing transport refrigeration units (reefer units) is required.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile service environment.
• Comfortable using diagnostic tools, scanners, and electronic testing equipment.
• Experience with soldering, welding, and refrigeration equipment is preferred.
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
