Job summary

Sonsray Connect & Grow is seeking a Mobile Reefer Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain transport refrigeration units at customer sites in Vernon, CA. The role involves field service, advanced diagnostics, and hands-on installation of refrigeration systems.

The technician will travel to customer locations, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety compliance while delivering high-quality workmanship in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• 2+ years' experience servicing transport refrigeration units/reefer units.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile service environment.
• Experience with soldering, welding and refrigeration equipment is preferred.
• Ability to lift, bend, stand and work in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair truck and trailer refrigeration units including Thermo King and related equipment.
• Perform advanced diagnostics using scanners, electronic test equipment and onboard computer systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and component replacements on transport refrigeration units and APUs.
• Review and complete shop orders accurately while maintaining service documentation.
• Identify and repair system failures including leak detection, removal/replacement and Freon testing.
• Assemble, install and replace refrigeration components using soldering, welding and refrigeration tools.
• Install new refrigeration units on trucks, trailers and vans.
• Travel regularly to customer sites to perform mobile service calls, operating company vehicles safely.

Position Summary

Mobile Reefer Technician will support our Fleet Division This role is ideal for a self motivated technician who enjoys working in the field diagnosing complex issues and servicing transport refrigeration equipment at customer locations

Responsibilities

• Diagnose troubleshoot and repair truck and trailer refrigeration units including Thermo King and related equipment
• Perform advanced diagnostics using scanners electronic test equipment and onboard computer systems
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and component replacements on transport refrigeration units and APUs
• Review and complete shop orders accurately while maintaining service documentation
• Identify and repair system failures including leak detection component removalreplacement and Freon system testing
• Assemble install and replace refrigeration components using soldering welding and refrigeration tools
• Install new refrigeration units on trucks trailers and vans
• Travel regularly to customer sites to perform mobile service calls operating company vehicles safely and within road and weather conditions
• Follow all company safety policies DOT requirements and auto safety regulations
• Maintain a clean organized service vehicle and work area
• Perform other duties as assigned to support service operations

• Experience with soldering welding and refrigeration equipment is preferred
• Ability to lift bend stand and work in varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
